lovelies to be shared
i’ve just returned home from a two week treasure hunting expedition for the shop. here’s a preview of some of the beauties i found at market. what’s a shopkeeper to do when she spies so many beautiful things beyond the liberty of her shop’s pocketbook? well, share them with other dreamers, of course. what most people don’t realize about us independent shop girls is that for the most part, we cannot help but pick things for our shop that we personally covet. now remember, this particular shopkeeper lives on a peanut butter & jelly salary… which these days has been downsized to a ramen noodle salary, so most of the treasures i find, can only be cherished vicariously through our lovely customers. when the goodies go to good homes, ones where we know they’ll be loved and cherished… well, that’s where the true satisfaction lies.
so, my friends, this will be a mere sampling in a long series of lovelies to be shared. next week, my buying odyssey leads me fashion… clothing, jewelry, accessories, the works. <<did i mention that THE SHOPPING is truly one of my most favorite parts of this job? it wasn’t a pre-requisite, per se, but certainly good fortune on my part since i spend a good amount of my time doing it.>>
